Jack McGowen

Jack McGowen focuses his practice on patent drafting and prosecution, both domestic and international. With a strong background in electrical engineering and real-world design experience, Jack assists clients in securing patent protection across a wide range of technologies. His ability to bridge the gap between technical innovation and legal strategy enables him to provide comprehensive intellectual property solutions for businesses, engineers, and inventors.

Jack earned his J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology, where he was an Associate Editor of the Journal of Intellectual Property and served as a Section Representative for the Intellectual Property Law Society. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University, with a minor in Communications.

Jack’s technical background has been instrumental in his ability to translate complex engineering and software concepts into effective patent applications. In addition to his professional endeavors, Jack is committed to continuous learning and staying abreast of industry trends. He actively participates in technology forums and contributes to discussions on emerging technologies and intellectual property law.
