Michael relies on his software developer background to provide his clients with comprehensive insights into the complex intellectual property issues that they face. “A deep understanding of a client’s technology provides a significant advantage in any proceeding before a court or the Patent and Trademark Office,” Michael says.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Michael spent two years as a software developer for BEA systems (now part of Oracle) and five years as a software developer for Microsoft, where he helped develop Excel 2002 and 2007. His work experience in the field allows Michael to be even more attuned to his clients’ needs.

Currently, Michael provides clients with counseling, prosecution, and litigation in patent, copyright, and trademark matters in a wide range of technologies that include software, electronics, machine learning, wireless telecommunications, medical devices, and mechanical systems.

In his free time, Michael enjoys snowboarding, cross-country skiing, and photography.
