CRK partners Michael Bonella and Ross Alexander will present at The 5th Annual IP Strategy Summit: Boston on April 11. Mike and Ross will discuss the sea change in opinion practice after the Supreme Court’s decision in Halo (Halo Elecs., Inc. v. Pulse Elecs., Inc., 136 S. Ct. 1923, 1932-33 (2016), as well as practical considerations as a result of the holding. For example, an investigation into the growing body of decisions following Halo precedent indicates that formal opinions of counsel are again a critical tool for avoiding findings of willfulness.
